The Ariana National Guard’s anti-terrorism prevention service succeeded in arresting, on October 17, 2020, a takfiri element that was the subject of a search notice from the Tunis 01 court of first instance for “suspicion of ‘membership in a terrorist organization’ and sentenced to 05 years’ imprisonment in absentia in a case on June 18, 2020.
The spokesperson for the Directorate General of the National Guard, Colonel-Major Houssam Eddine Jebabli, affirmed that after consulting the prosecution, he authorized to keep him in detention and to return him on October 19, 2020 to the Division of search and inspection of the District National Guard from March 2 to take the necessary legal action in this regard.
