As part of ongoing efforts to enhance Tunisia’s tourism visibility in Japan, the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Tokyo hosted a meeting on February 13, 2026, between Ambassador Ahmed Chafra and representatives of several Japanese travel agencies that include Tunisia in their tour programs.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore prospects for expanding Tunisia’s tourism presence in the Japanese market and to better understand the expectations of industry professionals.
Ambassador Chafra emphasized the importance of close cooperation with Japanese tour operators to facilitate travel arrangements to various Tunisian regions.
During the discussions, Tunisia’s key attractions were highlighted, including its rich cultural heritage and natural diversity, combining desert landscapes, Mediterranean beaches, mountain villages, and historic medinas.
