Tunisia-Tax revenues rise to 18%

Local tax revenues were correctly valued at 14.4 billion dinars at end June 2019, in striking contrast to 12.2 billion in the comparable period of 2018, a remarkable rise of 18% according to the provisional conclusions of the capital execution of the state budget, informed the ministry of Finance.

Nontax revenues were justly estimated at 1.692 billion dinars, while direct taxes reached 6.621 billion dinars, versus 4.71 billion dinars at the effective end of June 2018.“This sum befalls largely from taxes on income (4.52 billion dinars, up 40.4%) and corporate taxes (2.09 billion dinars, i.e. an increase of 40.3%) divided between taxes on oil companies at 668 million dinars and non-oil corporation taxes at 1.425 billion dinars.” Reported the TAP Agency.

Indirect taxes amount to 7.778 billion dinars with a sustainable growth of 3.9% opposed to the similar period of 2018.
