The Interior Ministry explained reports on social media concerning the occurrence of a terrorist operation that resulted in the deaths of security personnel.
In a statement, released Friday, July 17, 2020, the ministry announced this information is false, remarking that all its units with various specializations continue to carry out their national duties throughout the nation.
The Interior Ministry called on all citizens not to be carried away by this false news which intends to disturb the general situation of the country and to break the morale of the security units and to take into account only the information issued by the competent structures of the Ministry of the Interior.
The spokesman for the National Guard’s general management, Houssam Eddine Jababli, has denied rumours concerning the martyrdom of 6 members of the National Guard in a terrorist operation in Ghardimaou, in the Jendouba governorate.
