Tunisia-The National Meteorology Institute issues weather alert over heavy rainfall

The National Meteorology Institute has issued a weather alert due to forecasts of heavy rains through the week’s beginning. Thunderclouds begin to bubble up in In the southwest, before heading East in Gabes, South in Sidi Bouzid and Sfax.Isolated thunderstorms are expected to brew across Zaghouan, Siliana and Kairouan.

Weather turbulence continues at night in the North with strong winds, rainfall and hail.

Strong blowing winds are anticipated locally, the sea will be notably agitated in the Gulf of Gabès and less disturbed in the remaining coastal areas.

Temperature degrees will observe a slight decline in the North and highlands. The maximum recorded temperatures are expected to reach 29° C, whereas degrees is foretold to be between 30°C and –36 °C locally. Degrees in Al-Baraka and Borj el-Khadra will reach 40°C.
