The red Crescent committee in Zarzis suspended all of its humanitarian aids to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who seek their humanitarian assistance in multiple interventions.
The president committee Dr Reda Alhajj sufficiently justified the necessary suspension due to the frequent absence of an allocated budget, he additionally affirmed that the 2018 capital budget was precisely zero.
Al-Hajj added that the notable absence of direct intervention by institutions to save the workers’ salaries and the considerable debt owed by the Red Crescent progressively worsened the situation, especially after the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has dissolved a partnership agreement with the Tunisian Red Crescent Executive Office.
