Tunisia: Toward an amendment to the e-invoicing framework, hearing scheduled for today

The Finance and Budget Committee is holding a hearing this Thursday, February 5, 2026, to listen to the body behind the legislative initiative regarding a draft bill seeking to amend Law No. 17 of 2025, dated December 12, 2025, which relates to the 2026 Finance Law (No. 12/2026).

Text filed with parliament on January 26, 2026

In a previous statement to Tunisie Numérique, MP Maher Kattari, chair of the parliament’s Finance Committee, confirmed that the proposed amendment concerning the e-invoicing framework was filed with the parliament’s registry office on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Call to speed up the process to avoid complications

In the same context, Maher Kattari—also among the MPs who signed the amendment proposal—said the bill should be referred to the relevant committees as soon as possible, stressing the urgent nature of the matter.

“This is urgent,” says maher kattari

This is urgent, and we must speed up the decision-making process to catch up, so that many companies and multiple sectors do not find themselves facing legal and regulatory complications,” he said, warning of potential organizational and legal issues if the legislative timeline is delayed.
