Tunisair, Tunisia’s state-owned carrier, intends to lay off 1200 employees and refer them to an early retirement .
In a statement to Radio Tunis, the company director Elyess Mankabi stressed that the step comes as part of a structural reform program for the company which is going through severe financial difficulties.He stressed that 400 employees will be laid off in 2020 without giving further details.
This measure will cost the company 170 million dinars, added Mankabi .
