The expert explained that the cloud seeding process is carried out by pumping a specific substance into the clouds using aeroplanes, therefore condensing the clouds in a faster way and raising them in the specific place, and thus rainfall falls whenever we want and in the desired quantities, and the natural process of rainfall is compensated by the process of artificial cloud seeding.
Hz added that the process has several negative repercussions, as a number of those knowledgeable in the field believe that the recent floods seen by the capital of the Emirates, Dubai, were due to the adoption of rain seeding. He underlined in the same context that some other countries, such as the United States of America, Russia, and China, have used this technology since the start of the sixties, but there are reports by climate scientists looking at the United Nations today warning of the negative influence of artificial rain seeding technology, as there are major threats to the climate that may cause floods.
Concerning the cost of this experiment, the speaker underscored that discussion of the issue of rain seeding is still new in Tunisia and the true cost has not yet been determined, but it is essential to pay attention to that and attempt to find alternative solutions that are less expensive and whose damage is limited because rain seeding may cause floods that Tunisia cannot bear. He stressed that this technology must be carefully studied and researched.
