In commemoration of the 31st anniversary of the announcement of the Palestinian State, Tunisia confirmed it’s firm and steadfast support of the Palestinian cause and its continuous assistance to the brotherly Palestinian people in their continued effort to regain their rightful rights, prominently the right to establish an independent State with Al Quds Al-Sharif “Jerusalem” as its capital.
In a statement issued, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asserted that Tunisia will continue to efficiently conduct on the regional and international attempts to reopen a concrete peace process that will put an end to the distress of the Palestinian people and help them recover their rights.
Tunisia continually condemns the aggressions of the Israeli occupation, as well as the colonisation policy of the Palestinian territories, which dedicates the policy of fait accompli, in breach of international law and peace process negotiations, according to the statement.
In this regard, Tunisia inquires the UN Security Council and the international parties to shove their obligations to stop the systematic assaults of the Israeli occupation forces.
It is also a question of denouncing the enemy’s schemes, which serve to distort the historical and legal facts of Al-Quds and the rest of the occupied territories, targeting Islamic and Christian places of worship as well as the foundation of settlements in clear infringement of the UN decisions and resolutions, reported the TAP agency.
