The Ministry of National Defense declared that, as in previous years, the Tunisian armed forces are hosting the Tunisian-US joint military exercise “African Lion 2022” from June 16 to July 1, 2022, and this is in cooperation with the American direction for Africa with the exclusive participation of the Tunisian and American armed forces.
In a press release, the Ministry of National Defense notes that the U.S army organizes other stages of the “African Lion 2022” in Morocco, Senegal and Ghana, with the participation of 7,500 troops from various nations, including the United States, Brazil, Romania, France, Portugal, Ghana, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Britain and Tunisia, in addition to observers from 28 countries.
