Tunisian army troops on the border with Libya fired shots at four suspected vehicles that crossed into Tunisia, said a statement by the Tunisian Ministry of Defence.
The military formations working at in the Manzla area in the Remada district have identified Last night at 1:00 pm sceptical movements by four vehicles coming from Libyan territory and which entered the buffer border zone at the level of the sand barrier,” declared the statement.
According to Presidential decree n° 2013-230,Tunisian military units “shot warning shots to oblige the vehicles to halt however,they didn’t comply with the warning. At a second stage, shots were fired at the wheels. But the vehicles chose to escape.”
