The Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation issued a press release on the meeting that took place between acting Minister of Finance Sihem Boughdiri and Director of the USAID Mission in Tunisia Scott Dobberstein.
During the meeting, both parties expressed their willingness to continue bilateral collaboration in the next step, particularly in financial cooperation, investments and support with international and regional donor institutions. Boughdiri emphasised that the economic component will be of paramount significance during the coming period, expressing the concern to strengthen the multiple bilateral cooperation programs and to work to fulfil them as soon as possible.
For his part, US Ambassador Donald Blome expressed the readiness of the United States of America to continue to support Tunisia at all levels, in order to assist consolidate democracy and overcome its economic difficulties.
