Our local correspondent Afef Werdni and her colleague Naïma Khlissa from Sabra FM were assaulted by the National Guard’s intervention units in Medenine. The two correspondents were stopped from covering clashes between security guards and asylum seekers in front of the refugees’ dormitory in Djerba .
The squad leader and another agent tried to take our correspondent to the security car. Dropping her phone on the ground, a vulgar language was used according to our correspondent. The direct assault was properly documented by our local correspondent. Preventing them from filming, our correspondent was joined by her college when they were verbally assaulted again.
