Tunisia [Video]: Visit of members of the Finance Committee to parliament in Gafsa

Members of the Finance, Planning and Development Committee of the Huse of People’s Representatives paid a visit, as part of the visit to Gafsa, the headquarters of the Gafsa Phosphate Company (CPG).

The chairman of the Finance Committee, MP Haythem Mekki told Tunisie Numérique that they additionally came to investigate the situation and the distress of the citizens.

He condemned the state of the station which does not have any constituent of respect for the human being, guaranteeing that there are tremendous wealth and potential which overflows in the region but the citizen is ignored and does not profit from any respect.

Mr Mekki attested that the professional suffers just like the citizen in the absence of the least means of comfort.
On his part,Mongi Rahoui asserted that after three days of visit to that the members of the Finance Committee remarked the total abandonment by the State to Gafsa like all the interior regions, noting that all the State authorities, whether central, local and regional, are completely absent.

He related seeing that Gafsa is packed of potential and energies among its young people and skills that can add to its development, reaffirming that the state has abandoned its role and enabled problems to accumulate to the point of making it difficult to fix.

The member concluded that the solutions are there if there is political will.
