In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Tahya Tounes MP disclosed that 109 MPs have displayed their willingness to vote for the removal of Rached Ghannouchi , stressing that the signatory blocks will take all measures necessary to ensure the smooth running of the plenary session on Thursday, July 30, 2020.
In addition, Jellad assured that the deputies are under several pressures so that Rached Ghanouchi remains at the head of the parliament but despite this, he trusts them and knows that they will prevail the interest of the state.
“We trust the deputies who take the best interest of the country and we are certain that confidence will be withdrawn in Ghanouchi with more than 109 votes,” he said.
On another level, Jalled recalled that his party embraced the appointment of Hichem Mechichi to form the next government since the latter has shown competence and independence underlining that Tahya Tounes intends to support the next government. Jalled, in this sense, assured that his party is more interested in the program than in the names proposed to participate in the next government
