Prime Minister Hichem Mechici conversed with parties from the Libyan side during the reopening of Ras Jedir crossing border.
The PM stressed the need to accelerate procedures for welcoming Libyans, stating, “We are one people in two nations … and one family.”
He further pointed out that the routine situation dictates the smooth movement of goods and travellers between the two countries, indicating the necessity that the scenario of shutting down the land borders between Tunisia and Libya should not be repeated, despite the circumstances.
