Zouhair Maghzaoui, a former trade unionist at the Secondary Education Federation, was also an active member of the Kebili education body. He is currently running as a candidate in the presidential elections planned for October 6. Maghzaoui now serves as the Secretary-General of the People’s Movement, a role he assumed following the assassination of Mohamed Brahmi. Previously, he was a member of the Democratic Bloc in the House of People’s Representatives.
