Yassine Ayari announced that according to sources close to the Presidency of the Republic, Kais Saied is considering decreasing wages. He further alleged that the Tunisian state is currently isolated, and is obliged to beg from Saudi Arabia, which can only lend it money with the approval of the United States.
In addition, relationships between the Presidency of the Republic and the UGTT are more strained as the trade union center declines (among other things) the privatization of the port of Rades and its cession to the Emiratis, he added.
Yassine Ayari also said that the President of the Republic was partly accountable for the situation before July 25 and that “the coup” could not be the solution to the crisis that the country is undergoing.
