Speaking to the TAP agency, the Regional Director of Health, Souhail Bali, confirmed that the governorate of Zaghouan reported 31 new Coronavirus infections out of 81 analyzed samples in the past 24 hours, bringing the infection tally to 3,592 cases since the border reopened.
Mr Bali stated that 36 cases are currently being treated in COVID units, including 9 patients residing in the intensive care unit.
Indicating in the same context, that the said service has reached its maximum capacity, remarking that “the epidemiological situation in the region is worrying due to the notable rise in the number of infections and deaths and the discovery of 7 new viral outbreaks at the conclusion of last week ”.
