The regional coronavirus control committee in Zaghouan has decided to lock down two regions encountering a strong spread of the COVID-19.
Under the supervision of the governor, Saleh Mtiraoui, the committee chose to place Zebidine zones in the Ennadhour delegation and Frajnia in the Saouaf delegation founder a 14 days lockdown, beginning this Friday, April 2, 2021.
Mosques, schools, cafes and restaurants will shut down this period, after the discovery of four clusters of infection in these two regions.
In addition, the committee emphasised the necessity to raise the level of preparedness to limit the spread of the virus, including the capacity of local hospitals and the intensive care unit of the Zaghouan regional hospital in addition to supporting weak social groups and develop a regional strategy to encourage the application of the health protocol and vaccination.
