Presidential candidate Ayachi Zammel revealed in a statement to the media published today Tuesday on his official Facebook page that he had suspended his presidency of the “Azimoun” movement since August 24. The statement stated: “This suspension will permit Ayachi Zammel to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential elections and bring together the different political forces that believe in democracy, prosperity and progress in Tunisia.”
