Tunisian journalist Zied El Heni was apprehended following remarks he made about the Minister of Commerce during a radio program broadcast this morning.
Lawyer Ayachi Hammami confirmed this information. Zied El Heni is accused of spreading false news, a transgression punishable by up to ten years in prison according to Decree 54.
The complaint was initiated by the public prosecutor, who reacted to a video where Zied El Heni criticized the minister, implying that she should resign if she is unable to carry out her duties. Zied El Zied El Heni is detained in Bouchoucha.
