Acting on the instructions of President Kaïs Saïed, Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, will participate in the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, scheduled for January 10, 2026, in Jeddah.
The meeting will focus on recent developments in the Federal Republic of Somalia, following the recognition by the Zionist entity of the so-called “Somaliland” region as an independent state, and the broader implications of this move.
Discussions will also address the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, including annexation and forced displacement plans, with the aim of coordinating positions and advancing collective diplomatic action within the Islamic world.
On the sidelines, the Tunisian foreign minister is set to hold bilateral talks with counterparts from several Islamic countries to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation, enhancing bilateral relations, and exchanging views on shared regional and international issues.
