The Ministry of Finance announced that Minister Meskate Salama Al-Khaldi received yesterday, at the ministry’s headquarters, Abderrahmane Ben Mohamed Addas, outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tunisian-Saudi Bank, along with Ihab Ben Youssef Lanjoui, the newly appointed Chairman of the Board. The meeting was held as part of efforts to strengthen financial and economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tunisia.
According to the same source, discussions focused on the future of the Bank and the need to work toward its development and the strengthening of its capacities through the implementation of a comprehensive reform plan. This plan is based in particular on improving governance, reinforcing and modernizing management mechanisms, in order to ensure efficiency, optimize the use of resources, and consolidate confidence in the institution. Such measures would enable the Bank to adapt to economic priorities and developments in the interest of both brotherly countries.
In closing, the Minister of Finance reaffirmed her department’s commitment to continuing coordination and cooperation with the Saudi side, as well as joint efforts aimed at supporting the Bank and elevating it to a higher level, in a manner that strengthens Tunisian-Saudi bilateral relations.
