Twitter declined Elon Musk’s request to delay the trial arising from the ongoing acquisition process, according to a court filing on Thursday. The trial is set for October 17, and Musk’s attorneys requested the Delaware Court of Chancery “to put an end to this dispute and facilitate the prompt closing of this transaction.”
Twitter argued that Musk still refuses to accept their contractual obligations and has so far “pursued increasingly implausible claims and over and over sought to delay the trial.” It warned that postponing the date would present “an invitation to further mischief and delay.”
