Mali and Burkina Faso qualified for the second round after the final matches of Matchday 3, joining the other African qualifiers: Senegal, South Africa, Zambia, Egypt, Uganda, Morocco, and Tunisia.
Tunisia, ranked seventh among the best third-placed teams, will face Austria, who finished top of Group L after winning all their matches. They also inflicted a resounding 3-0 defeat on Mali, the reigning bronze medalists.
