The number of contaminations from COVID-19 in the United Kingdom surged by 21,915 in the past 24 hours to land at 1,011,660 on Saturday, surpassing the figure of one million.
Meanwhile, the death toll from coronavirus in the country increased by 326 and now stands at 46,555.
