The United Kingdom posted another record number in daily registered COVID-19 cases, with health authorities reporting 78,610 new infections and 165 coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours.
Commenting on the health situation, the Health Security Agency’s head Dr. Jenny Harries insisted earlier today that the Omicron coronavirus variant represents the “most significant” health public threat since the start of the pandemic.
