Ukraine: Three Devastating Setbacks for Putin

After more than two and a half years of relentless bombings and strikes that indiscriminately target civilians and infrastructure, it’s striking to imagine what Ukraine might have achieved had it acquired heavy weapons in greater quantities and more timely deliveries. Russia has thrown everything it has at Ukraine, targeting civilians, and infrastructure, and pursuing support from Iran, North Korea, and Chechnya. Yet, despite these efforts, Moscow has failed to make meaningful advances in Vladimir Putin’s agenda. This marks the first piece of bad news for Moscow—but there’s more to come.

The Kremlin is the only one who does not know that it has already lost the war

Even if the war halted here and now, if the fronts were frozen as it is, even if the negotiations were going in the sense that he wanted Putin could not, despite all his logorrhea and all his verbiage, Consider this as a win. Sitting on a few pieces of Ukrainian territory cannot be deemed a victory for the “great Russia” which seeks to swallow all of Ukraine, it is on the contrary a scathing defeat. Putin underestimated the audacity, bravery and ingenuity of the opponent.

Recall that at the beginning the Russian tanks had movement towards the Ukrainian capital and had almost surrounded it. Who has dislodged the Russian troops? The Ukrainian army, by the sole force of its will, was supported by anti-chairs rockets and voluntary citizens who were armed with everything they found. This popular fervour to defend the fatherland Putin does not have it, its fighters are pushed to pay them and very dear to designate their lives.

If the master of the Kremlin could rely on his soldiers and his citizens Evgueni Prigojine would not have advanced so easily to Moscow to settle his accounts with the army owners. Russia whatever it states has shown the world that it is a cardboard giant, a card of cards that only holds because Westerners, blunt by decades of comfort and overconsumption after the Second World War, are terrified by the ultimate confrontation.

Ukraine held up when it had no heavy weapons, they arrived well afterwards and droppings. But even with that Putin could not beat Volodymyr Zelensky. Moscow has eaten all his white bread, it’s over, if he has not been folded Kyiv until then he will not be able to, the window has closed. The future for Russia is paved with trouble, especially large, and it starts with Washington’s promise to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons …

Biden threw the dice, the camaraderie arrived after the November election

President Joe Biden committed Zelensky last September, and “a pledge is a debt”. The USA has rescued Europe twice by pulling it from the claws of Germany, Biden would not want the annals of history to retain his cowardly in front of Putin. The greatness of America has a meaning for all Americans, republicans or democrats. If there is one last thing that Biden will do before exiting the White House next January is to help Ukraine triumph in its war. This is the second bad news for Putin.

Of course, the American president will not make waves before the elections of November 5, 2024, Washington worrying that Moscow will sabotage this meeting, in one way or another (Putin is not lacking in villains in his bag). Whether voters pick vice-president Kamala Harris or ex-president Donald Trump does not change the equation, Biden will have to solve the Ukrainian crisis before taking his bow. He cannot take the risk that this case is falling into the hands of the unpredictable Trump.

And what about Putin’s nuclear threats, you might ask? The sword has been brandished so frequently and the threats so often repeated that they’ve lost their impact, becoming devalued and discredited. If Moscow could follow through on these warnings, why didn’t it act when Western heavy tanks arrived in Ukraine? Why has the Russian army failed to stop the delivery of F-16 planes and other heavy equipment from the West? Despite attacks on Russian refineries and weapons depots, why hasn’t Putin resorted to a nuclear “bomb”? These unanswered questions further diminish the credibility of Russia’s nuclear posturing.

All specialists know that these military exploits could not be made by drones, even significantly sophisticated, Western weapons are certainly behind these devastating shots. Why does the Kremlin not apply its famous nuclear doctrine, which it keeps rehashing? The truth is that atomic weapons will remain what they are: deterrent weapons. Unfortunately for Moscow, it will not deter Ukrainians and their Western supporters in any way. These weapons will remain in their silos because Russia knows that it would receive double or triple of what it would balance.

Also, if these weapons work “as well” as the Putin Satan missile there is a good chance that it will explode in the face before travelling a meter. Remember that the Russian missiles were designed, maintained and perfected in Ukraine before secession. It is obvious that if kyiv had not transferred all his stock of weapons in 1994, as part of the Budapest agreement, Moscow would never have attacked it. Putin only attacks the weak, not the forts, let’s remember Chechnya, Syria, Georgia, etc.

The new NATO chief makes Putin a personal affair

Finally, the third bad news comes from NATO. Russia had contended the request for membership of the Alliance to decree the invasion of Ukraine, Putin will be pleased to learn that his neighbour will get even closer to NATO with the arrival of the former PrimeF Dutch minister Mark Rutte. He officially took office yesterday Tuesday, October 1, replacing Jens Stoltenberg, and the first promise he made is that: “Intensify our support for Ukraine and always bring this NATO country closer, Because there can be lasting peace in Europe without a strong and independent Ukraine “…

Rutte recalled Moscow’s responsibility in the attack on the MH17 flight in 2014 above Ukraine, a tragedy in which citizens of 10 countries have died including 196 Dutch. So the new NATO secretary general has a personal fight against Putin …

If Moscow was able to act, beyond roars, he would not stay a spectator while Ukrainian units have been camping over 1200 square kilometres in the Kursk region for almost 2 months. When Russia invaded Crimea in 2014 the West, spoiled by the gas sold, closed its eyes and continued to unroll the red carpet. It’s over, Putin has committed the crime too much, and the US will suffocate his economy and demolish it militarily to make sure that he can no longer invade anyone.
