The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached a “beyond catastrophic” level, according to the United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric.
Dujarric stressed that over one million Palestinians went without food rations in August, while the distribution of daily cooked meals dropped by 35% due to multiple evacuation orders by Israeli forces, which led to the suspension or relocation of 70 out of 130 food kitchens.
He also reported that food supplies have been insufficient for two consecutive months in central and southern Gaza.
