On Tuesday, December 16, US President Donald Trump announced the expansion of travel bans to the United States to include nationals of six additional countries, including Syria, as well as Palestinians.
The White House announced on social media that “Trump has just signed a proclamation further restricting and limiting entry for foreign nationals in order to protect the security of the United States.”
The six countries affected are: Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, and Palestine.
