The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the United States rose to 6,148,875, growing by 37,417 in the past 24 hours, data from John Hopkins University showed.
Meanwhile, an additional 3,029 people died from the virus, the biggest daily increase since the start of the pandemic. As of today, the death toll stands at 186,698.
Total recoveries climbed by 35,200 to 2,266,957.
