After an exemplary performance in the US Open tournament, Ons Jabeur lost in the final of the tournament against Iga Świątek.
Unlike the first set during which she was no match for Świątek, Ons Jabeur fought heroically in the second.
Led quickly (0-3), it came back to (2-3), then to (4-4), (5-5) and (6-6) but the world premiere ended up winning (7- 5) in the tie-break to win this final in two sets (6-2 and 7-6).
