The United States documented the first monkeypox virus-related death which occurred in Texas, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) confirmed today.
The organization added it is now attempting to determine to what extent the disease has contributed to the death. ”Monkeypox is a serious disease, particularly for those with weakened immune systems,” the DSHS commissioner warned following the event.
