Famous Egyptian actor Mustapha Fahmi passed away on Wednesday, October 30, at 82.
Fahmy, who is the brother of veteran actor Hussein Fahmy, was born on August 7 1942.
He is driven from an aristocratic family with Circassian roots who held major and senior professions in Egypt before the July 23, 1952 revolution.
His grandfather was Mohamed Fahmy who served as a speaker for the Shura Council, his father, Mahmoud Pasha Fahmy, was the secretariat of the Shura Council, and his grandmother was Amina El Manasterly, the owner of the Manasterly Palace.
He graduated from the High Cinema Institute, the Academy of Arts, and worked as an assistant in “Amira Hobby Ana” in 1974.
He began his acting career in the same year with a role in the film “Ayna Aqly”.
After that, he partook in a huge number of cinema and tv works.
His most prominent roles were: “Waghan Le Wagh,” “Nebtedi Mnen El Hekaya,” “El Warda El Hamra,” “Hayat El Gohary,” “Maamon Wa Shorakah,” “Halawet El Donya,” “Qeset El Ams,” and “El Harir El Makhmali.”
