Tunisia’s National Institute of Meteorology (INM) has issued a weather alert warning of a significant deterioration in weather conditions starting from the afternoon of Monday, 15 December 2025, with temporarily thundery and locally heavy rainfall affecting several regions across the country.
According to the INM’s monitoring bulletin, the unstable weather is expected to persist until the morning of Tuesday, 16 December 2025. The south-western and central regions will be the most affected, with rainfall totals ranging between 20 and 40 millimetres, and locally higher amounts, particularly in eastern areas.
The bulletin also cautions against strong winds associated with thunderstorm cells, with gusts that may temporarily exceed 70 km/h, potentially causing local disruptions, especially in exposed areas.
