The World Food Programme (WFP) announced yesterday, Thursday, June 5, 2025, that more than 70,000 children in the Gaza Strip are suffering from severe malnutrition amid a deteriorating humanitarian situation.
WFP stressed that any further escalation of the conflict could lead to a near-total halt to relief operations in the Gaza Strip.
WFP confirmed that aid reaching Gaza remains critically inadequate, both in quantity and type of supplies, increasing the risk of deteriorating the health of the population, particularly children.
