United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby denied on Monday China’s claims that American balloons repeatedly violated Chinese airspace last year.
“Any claim that the US government operates surveillance balloons over the PRC is false. It is China that has a high-altitude surveillance balloon program,” Kirby told MSNBC. The US shot down a fourth unidentified object over Michigan on Sunday but has not yet attributed it to China.
