The World Health Organization (WHO) has voiced concern over its ability to deliver fuel and vital medical equipment to hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip due to a lack of security guarantees.
Al-Shifa Hospital is significantly affected, with a bed occupancy rate reaching nearly 150%, while other facilities, such as the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, have been pushed to close some services due to lack of fuel.
Several thousand patients, including dialysis-dependent patients and premature infants needing intensive care, could be at risk if deliveries do not reach their destination.
WHO calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to allow the distribution of essential supplies.
