The Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Wael Chouchane, affirmed that all relevant stakeholders are fully mobilized and that joint efforts are being deployed to ensure the supply of fuels and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) throughout the winter season.
Speaking during a meeting held yesterday, Friday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy with members of the sectoral chamber of petroleum product distribution companies affiliated with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA), Chouchane also stressed the readiness of all parties to cope with the current cold wave in a manner that guarantees market stability.
In this context, the Secretary of State called for enhanced coordination and collective action to meet all local demand for petroleum products.
The meeting, attended in particular by the Chairman and CEO of the National Petroleum Distribution Company “Agil,” Khaled Bettine, and the Chairman and CEO of the Tunisian Refining Industries Company, Afif Mabrouki, addressed several key issues, notably the operational programs of companies active in the sector and involved in the fuel production and supply chain.
According to a statement from the ministry, Wael Chouchane highlighted the central role played by these companies in developing the sector, underscoring the importance placed on modernizing the fuel supply system, promoting electric mobility, and providing the necessary infrastructure to support the sector’s development.
