A Boeing 737 swerved off the runway at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Senegal, the country’s Transport Minister El Malick Ndiaye said on Thursday. The AirSenegal flight to Bamako operated by Transair carried 79 passengers, 2 pilots and 4 cabin crew members.
Ndiaye said emergency services were immediately alerted and evacuated the plane. 10 people were injured and hospitalized. The minister added that Senegalese authorities are launching an investigation into the incident.
