10 workers killed after bus fell into Nile River in Egypt

Egypt’s Health Ministry said today that at least 10 people have died after a minibus plunged off a river ferry into the Nile River north of Cairo.

“The toll is at 10 and might rise,” Ministry’s Spokesperson Hossam Abdelghaffar told Agence France-Presse (AFP),

The driver, who had released the handbrake, was arrested while trying to flee the scene – according to the Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper, which first reported the story.
