Abdelkarim Hidri, an engineer at the Regional Union of Agriculture, revealed to the TAP agency that the quantities of cereals gathered in the governorate of Kef amounted to 160 thousand quintals as of Tuesday, June 18. This includes 90 thousand quintals of durum wheat and 62 thousand quintals of barley.
According to the same source, 50% of the areas sown with cereals have been harvested.
These quantities represent half of the planned cereal production for the collection operation in the recently created centers in the region.
