2024 Olympic Games – Fencing: Farès Ferjani proud to have honored his country

Silver medalist in the men’s sabre event at the Paris-2024 Olympics, Tunisian Farès Ferjani confirmed that he will return to Tunis on Wednesday around 1:00 p.m. (HT).

He likewise declared himself proud to have won the Olympic silver medal, thanking the technical staff, his parents, his family circle and all the Tunisians who supported him.

The Tunisian fencer highlighted to the media during the press conference: “I made my self-criticism, and I corrected the errors I made during my previous participations. I found that I was sometimes impressed by other people’s playstyles, but at some point, I decided to count on myself and be true to my way of fighting without being influenced by others. others, which helped me win the challenge”. 

He added: “I was only focused on the Olympic tournament without thinking about the previous matches. And so far, I don’t want to go back and watch the matches I played. I have to focus on the present.”
