An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 shook the eastern coast of Japan on Wednesday striking at a depth of 55 kilometers, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The tremor is said to have struck 8 kilometers east of Funaishikawa, Ibaraki Prefecture located on Japan’s main island Honshu. The quake was furthermore felt across Tochigi and Chiba Prefectures.
