An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck Pakistan on Wednesday, Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre said. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the magnitude at 5.4.
According to USGS, the quake’s epicenter was registered 31 kilometers west of the city of Karor in Pakistan’s central-eastern Punjab province, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to reports, the tremor was felt in several cities across the country, including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Mianwali and Bhakkar, as well as in parts of neighboring India and Afghanistan. There have been no initial reports of severe damage or casualties.
