An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck the Pacific island country of Vanuatu, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said on Wednesday.
The quake’s epicentre was recorded approximately 42 kilometres west of the village of Sola, at a depth of 193 kilometres. No tsunami warning has been issued following the tremor.
