7.5-magnitude quake strikes northern Peru

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 struck northern Peru on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake was registered 42 kilometers northwest of Barranca at a depth of 112.5 kilometers.

There have been no reports of damage or casualties.
