A first: Tunisia qualified for Winter Olympic Games

Tunisia qualified this Friday, November 10, 2023, for the first time for the Winter Olympic Games.

It was the young Johnatan Lourimi who succeeded in Pyeongchang in South Korea to validate the 8th Bobsleigh race counting for qualification for the Gangwon 2024 Winter Olympic Games, according to the CNOT.

“A youth dream come true. A historic achievement for Tunisian sport. For Tunisia. It should be mentioned that Sophie Ghorbal and Beya Mokrani in turn validated their 6th race this morning and it will stay to validate the next two races next December in Austria to ensure their qualification,” welcomes the CNOT on its Facebook page.
